there was a gorgeous tear drop shaped bouquet in the making on wednesday morning and later in the day - here it is with the lovely couple Jennie and Ionut at Buxted Park ( thanks for emailing the pic - love it- and we loved being a part of the very special day!)
lovely Madeline and Daniel had a gorgeous theme of hydrangeas, sweet avalanche roses and pink peonies with stylish silver taffeta sashes on the chairs and the bride looked stunning ( thank you for the card and photos- we loved being a part of the very special day - Donal X )
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for my amazing wedding flowers. The bouquet was exquisite - everything I had pictured in my head and more.
As for the birdcages - well they were perfect and matched the romantic theme of the conservatory (White Hart - Lewes) so well.
I don’t know if you took your own photos but if you didn’t I would be more than happy to send you some to add to your album. ( we did, will add some later)
Our day was wonderful and I will wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone in need of wedding flowers as your flowers helped to make the perfect wedding.

Exciting times at Pollen HQ. This weekend our new friends at LG delivered the new laundry (LG – life’s good!).
Thanks to Paul and Kevin for installing it and Donal for agreeing to have his picture taken with the inaugural loads of chair covers.
Also just to prove that men can multi-task :-) see him loading the freeze drier- see him filling trays of roses- see him doing quotes at the computer – a very quiet Sunday afternoon for a top wedding florist - after setting up a stunning wedding at Buxted Park in the morning!
Thanks to our friends at LG (Life’s Good) the machines have unique super quiet inverter drive- (just to get a bit of product placement info in there to say thanks for the equipment!)
Eagle eye blog viewers will see one of the trays of roses for the freeze drier contains Illusion roses – we are trialling them and will have them for limited special orders – delivery dates TBC
We have also found on a fruitful trip to Holland some ice white dianthus which look as if they will dry very well and keep that bright white colour which is so hard to replicate with roses. We also found this amazing purple tinted dianthus which looks as if it will dry into a perfect match for Cadburys purple which is very, popular this year and next – we have got some sashes made already, as well as some new aubergine sashes which are a spot on match for aubergine calla lilies.
We used them at Pelham House recently.
We did two weddings on the same day at Pelham house and both lovely brides called Angela (1 x stunning aubergine callas/sashes) (1 x gorgeous vintage arrangements in mirror cub vases with matching petals), then a spin up to Buxted park for a gorgeous peony and grand prix rose themed wedding with stunning bright red taffeta sashes to match the roses.
The following day I had a really good chat with Joanne at Elegant Stationery – she has got some fantastic easels coming over from Italy which she will have available alongside her stunning stationery. She is now based at Ote Hall farm, a visit to her showroom is a must do on the planning list. We originally bought an easel to hold her table plan on display at the Pollen studio; it proved so popular with brides though that it seems to have ended up at Buxted Park in constant use on a fairly permanent basis.
Every time I try and sneak it back for consultations, Marc (F and B manager at Buxted Park) collars me and we leave it behind again for a wedding…………….
A couple of weeks ago we did a super wedding with Kim and Anne Marie ( KDH Photo) at Buxted Park. The lovely couple spent the morning together as the preparations took place. The bride sat in the crystal bar having a cup of tea while the groom made sure all the final details were coming together. There are some pictures of Sally and Rob’s special confetti moment on their blog here. It was lovely to be a part of it
We worked with Sarah critchlow too at Upwaltham barns again
Gorgeous pictures of Sophie and James’ wedding and Sarah’s shots show the venue so well and some very touching moments to be treasured of a very special day
Also I must add a new recommendation from the Pollen team - Jeni Dodson for bridal hair and make-up, we have been seeing gorgeous looking ( and happy brides) and we found out it was all thanks to Jeni. Her website is here plus she is now featured on our directory too
We are also going to be featured in the press again in VIYA magazine. VIYA Magazine is a luxury bi-annual bridal magazine catered largely towards the Asian market. We were very pleased to be asked
with our new candelabras we can now add a dome of flowers in the centre and still include the vintage hanging crystals, they look sensational and are ideal if you love the candelabra look but want to include some flowers too. this bride wanted to keep the look very monochrome with light ivory Avalanche roses with our matching light ivory freeze dried petals, which was very striking matched with the chandeliers in the ballroom at Buxted Park - a real wow factor. We have another booking where the bride is having ivy trails coming down from a dome of vintage roses and herbs, without the crystals which I think will also look stunning - I’ll make sure I get some more pictures
