Elegant cakes

on my never ending quest to eat cake – believe me at Pollen towers we all love cake!

on behalf of all, I have been resuming my position of official taste tester for future brides and grooms and any couples  planning a very special civil partnership celebration

now at this point i need to say this is not a difficult or onerous job – it basically involves me hoovering up cake samples at wedding fairs, going uuuuuuuuum aaaaaaaaaaaaah and then saying ‘ don’t suppose i could try another bit?’

my latest baking recruit has actually been on the scene for a long time and I am embarrassed to say that Sarah did point this out to me at Buxted Park wedding fair. we have been meeting there for so many years and i have been (to be honest) snarfing down huge quantities of her cake and never a mention on the blog!

After a very busy day meeting prospective customers, a box arrived on the pollen towers stand which contained the most delicious cake

I am talking historically delicious and there was so much of it we shared it out at the business park where we are based and the rest of the week I was constantly approached by electricians, carpenters, upholsterers, seamstresses and builders with

‘cor that cake was bl****dy delicious!’
