Anyone coming to the blog over the last month must have
thought ‘ there’s not much going on at
pollen HQ?!’
Well to be honest, it’s been our busiest first quarter of
the year since records began in year 2000 and so many brides got lucky with the unseasonal
warm weather and the blog got left on the to-do list which became the to-didn’t
list until now so………..
……………Firstly let’s talk cake as we saw Sarah from Elegant cakes
last week. Sarah had created this cake which I am not joking made me dribble
slightly it smelt so good ( I know not such a great look and our team pollen-ators
Billie and Norrie pointed that out to me) a mixture of chocolate
and fresh fruit which Sarah carefully added to the cakes while she was setting them
up in the ballroom – seriously by the time she had finished the whole ballroom
at Buxted park smelt of chocolate and raspberries- talk about the olfactory
factor ( I am reliably informed by an educated member of team pollen that olfactory
is posh for smelling- in a good way)

Not only that but Sarah had matched the sugar flowers to the
real flowers donal had designed for the bride which were totally spot on
Now at pollen we know about special day planning and this
looked like serious cake work to us and we have seen a lot of designer cakes .
