Doves have been released at wedding ceremonies for many centuries now, as far back as the Ancient Greeks and Romans, as doves mate for life so are symbolic of love. We have provided a truly professional service in Sussex now for many years. Before the ceremony, we liaise with the photographer to ensure that he knows exactly what to expect when the bride and groom release the doves from the heart shaped basket. If the couple want a more spectacular display then we can also provide further doves that are released from another basket, which the bridesmaids can release.

The doves are kept in a loft in our garden and that is where they are trained to come back to. They are vaccinated every year so that they do not catch any of the diseases that some of the wild birds can have and their loft has to be cleaned on a regular basis, again to keep them in tip top health.

Since we started this business we have met some really lovely people on the way such as Donal who runs Pollen, providing the gorgeous flowers that are so necessary for that big day.
